1. Belt tearing caused by impurities in the conveying material. For coal ports, the main reason for impurities in the conveying material is poor coal quality. Large blocks of coal and various impurities in the raw coal, such as iron and wooden rods, cause approximately 70-80% of tearing. Therefore, ensuring the quality of the source coal is the key to preventing tearing.
2. Belt tearing caused by improper installation of auxiliary equipment on belt conveyors. Multiple auxiliary equipment on belt conveyors, such as falling lining plates, sharp iron adsorbed by iron removers, and improper installation of cleaners, can cause tearing and scraping of the conveyor belt. Ordinary conveyor belts do not have a lateral protective structure and cannot prevent tearing.
3. Belt tearing caused by incomplete structure of belt conveyor. Due to incomplete structure of belt conveyor, the drop point of the conveyor belt is large, the relative speed of impurities in the coal flow is large, and the impact force is large. Sharp and hard ultra long impurities are easily inserted into the conveyor belt at the drop point, resulting in belt tearing.
4. Tearing of the conveyor belt caused by material blockage. The small transfer chute can easily hinder the passage of materials and impurities, resulting in tearing of the conveyor belt.
5. The deviation of the conveyor belt causes edge pulling.
6. Return with coal roll, etc.
In addition, the aging of the adhesive at the edge of the conveyor belt joint causes water to enter the core layer of the conveyor belt, causing corrosion and withdrawal of the steel rope, which can also cause tearing.
